Day 59: Philadelphia Flower Show

We went to Philadelphia Flower Show today and had a wonderful time! I had to admit, it was pretty hard to shoot in the Convention Center because it was very dark in there (my husband's reaction? "Well, sweetie, that's because you're shooting with a point and shoot. Let's get you a DSLR" - "Sure, great idea" - Big grin). I did manage to take a few good pictures, so without further ado:

Day 58: what a sweet mama!

Sasha was putting her baby doll to bed that grandma had made for her this morning. Then she decided she was tired too. So she laid down next to her.

And yes, the yogurt craziness continued today, except that this time Sasha's whole face was covered (I suspect that she just figured out that if she's that messy, she'll get a bath and she loves baths!) Tomorrow, we're headed to the Philadelphia Flower Show so I should hopefully get some good shots of fancy schmancy flowers and clever flower arrangements.

Day 57: just a silly girl

 

This is how our girl eats yogurt (apparently). She literally looked like she was putting lotion on, rubbing it into her hands and face. And I have a video to prove it ;)

Day 56: view from my window

Another snowstorm for us in NY. We did have to go out briefly this morning and that was not fun. But we did enjoy watching the snow falling from inside out warm cozy apartment the rest of the day.

Day 55: what happens with flowers...

... after Sasha is done with them.

I found this on the windowsill some twenty minutes after I gave Sasha a rose. And the petals were all over the living room floor.

Day 54: laundry day!

It was rainy and gross outside today, so we stayed in and played and danced (and sang!) We also did laundry and Sasha helped me with putting clothes away... well, she walked back and forth between the laundry room and the living room holding her shirt and a couple of socks for good 30 minutes!

Days 51, 52, and 53: weekend recap

Sasha has this awesome wooden frog that "hops" when you pull it after you by the string. It doubles as fruit storage, apparently.

 

We went to a park with castles on Sunday. We were planning to walk around on  paved trails, but didn't take into account that Long Island may not have been as snow-free as Brooklyn. So we just walked in circles on the walkable trails while Sasha napped. This is a picture I took looking into one of the castles... with snow reflecting in the glass door. I really like it!

Now I'm not even going to pretend that this is a great picture composition-wise, but it is just so funny! Sasha was watching Super Why this morning and climbed up on the bag full of Mega Bloks just to get sloser to the TV.

Day 50: favorite pastime

 

Sasha loves looking out the window, she points to trees and the snow, waves hi to squirrels, and squeals.

Day 49: flowers

I have roses in a vase from Valentine's Day sitting on my counter.  I changed the water earlier today and saw all these bubbles. I like the look of it.

Day 48: so ready for the spring!

Remember the pretty sunset picture I took yesterday? Yeah, I'm thinking I should've stayed in today and admired all the snow from our window. This is what I've encountered everywhere I went today:

Day 47: sunset

This was the view from our window tonight.

Day 46: road trip

We went on a little road trip today. This was my view looking back at our little miss. She cried some, she sang some, she giggled and talked to herself. I'm feeling a little less guilty about sitting in the back with her and she's getting a little better being by herself back there.

Day 45: Happy Valentine's Day

 

I made little heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast to celebrate Valentine's Day. And there's a reason I don't photograph my food very often, I should start making fun cute stuff more often!

Day 44: ice cream

This was my Valentine's Day "dinner" last night. We had a movie date, my husband and I, and had some Cold Stone ice cream. It was well worth the 30 minute wait.

Day 43: yummy fingers

 

I'm pretty much obsessed with my daughter's eyes. They are seriously the most wonderful big eyes ever. And they're gray, both my and my husband's eyes are brown, so yeah, go figure.

And yes, she is wearing a pink flowery dress, we're so ready for the winter to be over!

Day 42: water bottle

Sasha loves drinking out of my water bottle. And nibble on it, apparently.

Day 41: snowflakes on her head

 

Y got home early today. We played in the snow on the roof. Snow was falling. It was beautiful. Snowflakes on Sasha's head were beautiful.

Day 40: holding hands

 

I didn't have a chance to put up yesterday's picture, so here it is. While on our walk, Sasha asked (read: demanded) to be let out of her stroller so she could walk. She's really good about holding my hand for the first 10 minutes or so and then just won't anymore (we're still working on it, it's a good thing she doesn't run very fast!) She insisted on only holding onto my pinky and ring finger for some reason and wouldn't even touch the other fingers. Made for a cute photo-op though.

Day 39: blue tile

On our walk today, we found this really cool looking tile on a random building here in Brooklyn. I guess if you really pay attention, you can find some interesting things.

Day 38: tired

Sasha likes to snuggle for a bit after she wakes up from her nap, until she's fully awake. This is what I had the pleasure of witnessing today as our little miss cuddled with her papa. Still half-sleeping.

Day 37: snow shapes

Y, Sasha, and I went out to play on the roof today. We had some snow here last night and this morning and it formed the coolest shapes!

Day 36: fun in the bath tub

While Sasha was playing with her bath toys tonight, I was playing with my camera. I realized that I've been shooting everything in auto mode and I decided to play a little with white balance (don't get me wrong, I'm not delusional, I'm not going to pretend I'm an awesome photographer, especially with our little dinky point&shoot). I just love her eyes in this shot!

Day 35: bubbles

Day 34: colorful

Sasha and I did a little craft and I had her glue colorful foam shapes on construction paper. She had such a great time, she literally cried when we were done! And got very mad at me for taking *just a few* pictures of her. Sigh, I think I've finally annoyed her!

Day 33: new shoes

While playing this morning, little Miss Sasha opened her shoe drawer (she's such a girl!) and pulled out these shoes I got her a little bit ago. Now, they are two sizes too big, but she insisted I put them on. The picture is a little blurry, but the lighting was just horrible today! Oh, and looks like we need to pack up these pants and pull out the next size up!
